Anagram Solver
Enter a word, name or short phrase and get back every real word — or word combination — that uses all of the letters, rearranged. Classic single-word anagrams like "listen" → "silent", plus multi-word ones like "gentleman" → "elegant man".
How to use the anagram solver
Type in a word, name or short phrase (spaces are ignored) and hit Solve. The tool rearranges every letter you entered — using each one exactly once — and checks it against the dictionary two ways: first as a single word ("listen" → "silent"), then split across a 2 or 3-word phrase that uses every letter ("gentleman" → "elegant man", "astronomer" → "moon starer"). Phrase results can take a moment longer to compute and are capped so a long phrase never freezes the page — if nothing shows up, the phrase search may have run out of time or truly has no match in this dictionary. If you want shorter words made from just a subset of your letters instead, try the Word Unscrambler.
Frequently asked questions
- Why do some words have no anagrams?
- Most letter combinations don't rearrange into a second valid word — that's normal, not a fault in the tool. Try a shorter word or a different combination of letters if you want more results to explore.
- Does capitalisation or letter order matter?
- No — enter the letters in any order and any case; the solver only cares which letters and how many of each you've given it.
